In today's fast paced world, stress and anxiety are becoming the norm. Massage therapy can be a great option to combat childhood anxiety. Studies have shown massage can decrease stress hormone levels, anxiety, depression and chronic pain in children.
We recommend a 20 to 30 minute session for younger children, and a 30 to 45 minute session for teenagers.
As with any massage therapy treatment, consent in necessary. Discussing massage with your child prior to the appointment is recommended. We can send a photo of our treatment room, or feel free to bring them along to your appointment to help familiarize the process.
